Jason was making his way towards Oberough City. Jason was trying to get his Coal Badge. Jason only had his Chikorita, and he knew that the Gym Leader had 3 pokemon, so Jason decided it would be a good idea to get a couple more pokemon before battling. Jason was walking with his Chikorita by his side. "Chiyo, keep your eyes open, we have to find more pokemon" Chikorita looked up. "Chika!" She yelled. Chikorita was excited to have a new pokemon with her. Jason and Chikorita happily looked for pokemon.

Psyduck wondered over numerous mud puddles, his head pounding worse than it had ever been pounding before. It felt as if hammers were clanging from the inside. This was the worst day for psyduck. Of corse that was what he told himself every time he had a head ache, but this really felt worse.

The head ache was so great that psyduck stumbled out from his location, tripping into a puddle where a trainer stood. The poor psyduck did not even see the trainer, due to his face being covered in water...

Jason and Chiyo had been walking for awhile now, Jason was starting to think he might be unlucky today. "Chiyo, I think we should call it a day. It seems that we just can't find one today. Jason sighed when suddenly from the puddle in-front of him he heard a splash!




The splash came from a wild Psyduck! Jason looked to his Chikorita. "Alright Chiyo, use Razor Leaf!" Chikorita sent out 4 razor sharp leaves from the large leaf on her head, she sent them straight at the Psyduck. "Psyduck is a water type, so if these razor leaves hit, it will be super effective!" Jason watched as the leaves were sent to Psyduck, all he could do now was wait and look to see if the leaves would hit the wild Psyduck.

The psyduck saw the incoming leaves, and jumped up to avoid the attack. It only was able to dodge three however, leaving one to hit. Even still it did hurt, but it was not lethal. Psyduck's head hurt to much for a battle at this moment, but knew that his free will depended on it. He had been battling earlier today as well, battling a trainer who was also trying to catch him, but they used a charmander which he took out easily seeing as it was a first level, and its fore attacks were pathetic. All the same, the tables were turned not in his favor this time, he was fighting with a higher percentage that he was going to loose his freedom forever.

The Psyduck clamped its hands to its for head, now launching its painful head ache attack at the chikorita.
"Pssssyyyyyy....dddduuuucccckkkkkk" It said as the head ache splashed from it as a undodgable attack, heading strait towards the young pokemon...

Jason watched as the Psyduck jumped and dodged most of the attack. Jason quickly looked to Chiyo who was doing fine, being active and focused. "Well Chiyo, that was surprising. I was expecting the Psyduck to be hit because it seemed focused on something else" Jason watched as the Psyduck put it's hands on it's head, what could the Pysduck be doing?






Jason watched as the Psyduck sent some psychic attack at Chiyo. Jason looked to Chiyo as the attack came closer and closer... Jason didn't have much time. "Chiyo, quickly use razor leaves again, you can't dodge this!" Chiyo shot out leaves from the big leaf on it's head once again. Chiyo was then hit by the head ache attack. Chiyo looked to Jason and put the leaf on it's head down, showing it had a head ache. It was going to be more of a pain using Chiyo now. "Chiyo, it's okay, just try and focus, now be ready for an attack from Psyduck!" Jason yelled excitedly. "Let's just hope this attack hits him...." Jason mumbled

The psyduck once again saw the leaves coming, but just as it raised its head from hitting the "chiyo," and thus was hit by most the leaves again, trying to dodge, but still being hit by the majority. It tripped back over as the pain raged over its small cute body. It wanted more than anything to remain free. But it was almost near defeat. It was not going to give up yet, no, it was going to fight for what it wanted...

Quickly the psyduck jumped back up to luanch another attack, a weak water gun attack. This attack was weak with this low level psyduck, and shot out in a thin stream, aimed at the "chiyo." However, the head ache attack was eating away at the pokemon!

Jason looked at the Psyduck, who was hit by the razor leaves. Jason watched the water gun go towards Chikorita "Chikorita, let it hit you!" "Alright Ckikorita, use Vine whip now!" Chikorita sent out a vine towards the Psyduck. Chikorita started to get its headache more and more. The Vine Whip became much more weak, but it was still sent out. "Alright, while the Psyduk is busy with that...." Jason pulled out a pokeball, he quickly pushed the button to make the pokeball larger. Jason threw the pokeball towards the Psyduck. "alright.. let's hope this works" Jason said to himself. The Vine whip was close to the Psyduck, and the pokeball was getting closer and closer.

The psyduck knew what was happening, the voltorb like ball would catch it. Quickly the psyduck werrled around and blasted the ball with another weak water gun. Just as this happened, the water gun from just a second ago colided with chiyo, causing the vine to just miss it. The little psyduck had no more energy, but wanted more than anything to be free! What if he could reach a conclusion with the human... he needed some way to say this though...

Quickly the psyduck started to waddle over to the human...

Jason watched as both of his tactics were no match for the pysduck. Jason was amazed, of course he was a beginning trainer, and his Chikorita was low level, so he wasn't exactly great at being a pokemon trainer. Jason watched as the Psyduck came close to him. "Um.. hello.. it seems that you have a head-ache" Jason let out a small laugh. "You are a Psyduck though, so that's not too surprising" Jason patted the Pysduck lightly on the head. Jason reached into his bag and took out crackers, a cloth, a nd a water bottle. Jason handed the crackers to the psyduck. "Here, eat" Jason said with a smile. Jason then poured water on the cloth, he then put it on the Psyduck's head. "I hope this will help your head-ache... See, I didn't want to hurt you. I just wanted to train you, and make you strong. Maybe even evolve you into a golduck. But if you really feel that you don't want to become my pokemon, I'm not going to force you to" Jason looked at the Psyduck, he REALLY wanted it, but he wasn't going to be mean and force it to become his pokemon. He wasn't that type of person.

The psyduck was shy, and as the trainer took something from his pouch, it shied away, fearing the red and white ball. But it was only crackers. Tasty crackers at that. Then the wet rag was placed over his head, and the cute psyduck peered out from under the cloth, its large eyes glimmering in the sun light, wet with tears of pain, all from his head, and the cut on its side from the razor leaf. All the same, this pokemon knew something that most other did not.

Quickly the psyduck trotted over, a little way away from the trainer, to find a toll that he could use. A second later, the psyduck turned back around, squealing in a cute little tone,
"psyyyy" its eyes closed, holding a stick in both of its hands. It soon proceeded to jab the stick into the ground, and move it. After three full minutes, the psyduck had carved something into the ground. It was the psyducks personal ability, he had watched human school since he was born, to years ago, and although he was bad at everything, he had learned to write simple words. The note read:

Do'Nt PocyBall Mee PleEse

Then once again it peered back up at the trainer, oping it would read the message and understand...

Jason peered over the Pysduck, and looked at it's writing. Jason sighed. "So, you don't want to become my pokemon... Or maybe, you just don't want to be in a poke' ball? I've heard of pokemon like that" Jason smiled, and looked at the pokemon, he was really feeling nervous. He wanted to take care of the pysduck.

He had said it. He wanted to obtain its freedom, but still remain under protection of a trainer. He waned to be "owned" but still free..."

The psyduck jumped up and down as soon as he mentioned it. It would write something else, but did not know much else, or at least not much more that would be readable.

Jason smiled as the Psyduck showed it's happiness. "Great! I'll be very happy to work with you Psyduck!" Jason smiled and showed Chiyo to Psyduck. "This is Chiyo, my Chikorita" "Chika!" said the Chikorita. Jason smiled and looked up. "I'll make you strong and powerful Psyduck!"

The psyduck felt better about his choice, and nodded to the trainer
"psyyyyy..." it said as the cute sound erupted from its mouth, expressing the pain coming from its head....
